Project Cost and Time Management

Cost and Time Management in Projects is a 5-day project controls course delivered by Mars Training Centre UK across Europe, the Gulf, and Asia, and online — designed for project managers, cost engineers, project controls professionals, and senior delivery leaders responsible for the cost and schedule performance of significant projects.

The two questions every senior sponsor asks are simple. Will it be finished on time? Will it come in on budget? Answering them with discipline — and earlier than the discovery date — is the job of a strong cost and time management function. This course is built for the people who run that function, and for project managers who refuse to outsource it.

Across five focused days, you will work through estimating, budgeting, baselining, progress measurement, earned value, integrated cost and schedule reporting, and senior-level forecasting. You will leave with a structured project controls approach you can apply on a live project. The faculty are senior practitioners with experience in major capital, infrastructure, and corporate projects.

The week opens with estimating and budgeting, moves into baselining and progress measurement, then into earned value management in working depth, then into forecasting, reporting, and senior communication, and closes with synthesis and a personal action plan you can apply on a live project.
