Project Risk Management

Project Risk Management is a 5-day senior project risk course delivered by Mars Training Centre UK across our international training centres in Europe, the Gulf, and Asia — designed for project managers, programme leaders, and assurance professionals responsible for the risk performance of significant projects.

Project risk has moved from a back-office register to a senior leadership discipline. Capital projects fail more often on poorly managed risk than on poor technical execution, and boards now expect quantified, defensible answers when they ask what could go wrong and what it would cost. This course is built for project leaders who need to give that answer, not avoid it.

Across five focused days, you will work through qualitative and quantitative project risk techniques, build the analytical confidence to use Monte Carlo and quantitative schedule risk analysis at the right depth, and leave with a personal action plan to apply on a live project. The faculty are senior practitioners who have led risk processes on major projects.

The week opens with the project risk management process across the lifecycle, moves into qualitative risk assessment, then into quantitative risk analysis using Monte Carlo methods, then into response planning and senior communication, and closes with synthesis and a personal action plan applied to a live project of your own.
