Customers, investors, lenders and regulators now expect demonstrable evidence of how an organisation manages its environmental impacts. ISO 14001, published by the International Organization for Standardization, is the international standard for environmental management systems and the framework most organisations use to provide that evidence. The standard itself is approachable; the discipline of implementing it well, integrating it with health, safety and quality systems, and internally auditing it credibly is the real work.

Across five focused days you work through ISO 14001 clause by clause, examine the practical implementation choices that determine whether the system actually reduces environmental impact, and practise the internal audit techniques described in ISO 19011. The course is grounded in British and European environmental regulatory practice and is built for delegates working in industrial, commercial and public-sector settings.
